Cowboy Poet Bj Smith draws upon his experience as a retired mountie, packer, horse trainer, ski
patroller, and back country guide to feed his appetite for stories and poems. His heart's in the Rocky Mountains,
summer or winter on horseback or skis. He has instructed outdoor recreation and wilderness survival courses at the
University and College level and is a strong advocate of therapeutic riding for the disabled. Bj's book of
cowboy poetry, "Mounties, Mountains and Memories" is an unqualified success at western festivals
and gather'ns throughout western Canada and the USA where he is routinely featured as an entertainer. His
biography, "A Legend of the Nahanni" was forced into second printing after only hours on the market and is
fast becoming a must read by anyone interested in adventure and the wild frontier. His third book, "The
Wilderness Wrangler" is packed with everything the outdoor enthusiast needs to know to enjoy the back
country on horseback. Together with accomplished singer / songwriter Ed Brown, their CD "A Cowboy Collaboration"
received the Will Rogers Award as the Academy of Western Artists Cowboy Poetry CD of the Year. You can find all
of these on the
